Make a difference. Donate a book.

Many adults who are functionally illiterate did not learn to read or have access to reading materials at youth. Today, illiteracy is associated with being one of the leading causes of poverty in our society.

How can you help? We believe that many of today’s social issues such as crime and substance abuse can help be alleviated when a child, man, or woman picks up a book.  So donate today – not only can we put books to a good use, but your donation of money can be used to buy the right books, new resource materials and computers for four libraries at Miracle Hill Shelters in Greenville County. The Family Book Project would greatly appreciate your help in building libraries for these homeless children, women, men and families.

The Family Book Project was created to help children and adults in local homeless shelters by providing them with access to books and reading material donated by the surrounding community. Additionally, families will be encouraged to take books with them as they leave the shelters. In order to make a worthwhile difference for underprivileged families and children in the Upstate, The Family Book Project provides you with an outlet to help.
